“Many hands make light work.”

Current Needs

  • Donations

A donation of any size is always a wonderful way to help the garden keep growing. Funds will be used for annual community events, as well as the continued construction and beautification of the garden.

  • Volunteers

The Community Garden is made up of volunteers. We can always use more hands to help keep things moving forward and growing beautiful. If you have the time, every little bit helps. The garden is also a great place to accumulate community service hours.

  • Natives and Perennials

The inclusion of native perennial plant species and other helpful perennials is an important part of the garden. These are plants such as blueberry bushes, beach plumbs, cranberries, winter berries, witch hazel, cone flowers, milkweed, rhubarb, strawberries, etc. A donation of funds or the plants themselves would be greatly appreciated, and surely put to good use.

  • Free standing Ladder

We need a sturdy Free-standing Ladder for tending our cherry trees, and lights. A quality donation or funds for the purchase of one would be great.

  • Umbrella Stand

A strong umbrella stand for our Shade umbrella.

  • Outdoor Seating

Sadly, our outdoor couch and benches have reached the end of their reliable existence. We are in need of safe, strong, comfortable outdoor seating options to provide patrons and gardeners somewhere to sit, take in the view, visit and rest.

  • Carpentry assistance

The garden has a few carpentry related projects and could use a hand. For a list of what needs doing please click the link below and send us and email.

  • Volunteers for mowing

An easy and fun activity the garden needs weekly mowing in the summer. We use an old school manual mower that we keep in the shed. no gas, no engines. closed toe shoes required.
