Who Are We?

In late 2020, a group of year round residents on Fishers came together and began the effort to create a community garden. After such a year of uncertainty, a public outdoor space, a garden full of fresh organic produce, became a beacon of light. The idea was to create a place for our community to gather, grow and share.

Through the kind offering of our friends at Fishers Island Farms LLC., we were able to secure a home for the Community Garden. The site is located just to the right of the Legion on Crescent Avenue. We are overjoyed! It has ample space and will get plenty of south facing sun throughout the seasons. After felling some ailing Norway spruces, and completing the build out, the garden is ready to grow! So come down, take a seat, plant a seed, enjoy some of the fresh air and fresh produce.

We hope you join us soon!

Sincerely,

The FI Community Garden Committee
